Anxiety, low mood, poor sleep, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), constipation, appetite control and migraines are all improved by the use of 5HTP.

5HTP is the compound our body uses to make the neurotransmitter serotonin, often referred to as our 'happy hormone'. Serotonin goes on to become melatonin, the neurotransmitter that makes us sleep well.

Our 5HTP comes with active Vitamin B6 which is important as this nutrient is crucial for the making of both serotonin and melatonin from 5HTP. By having them together in 1 capsule you get the maximum benefits.

If someone were to be experiencing any of the above concerns whilst also taking immunosuppressant medications, oral contraceptives or those that interfere with stomach acid production (e.g. antacids like Rennie, Gaviscon or Pepto Bismol, and PPIs such as Omeprazole, Nexium or Lansoprazole) we advise also including our Multiple Mineral drops. Those medications will interfere with levels of key nutrients including magnesium, zinc and other B vitamins which we also need to make serotonin and melatonin.

Recommended dose: 1 capsule per day with food.
