5-HTP, or 5-hydroxytryptophan, is the compound the body makes from tryptophan on the way to serotonin. This capsule provides it from griffonia seed with vitamin B6 as P5P.
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal psychological function and the nervous system, and it is the cofactor the body uses to convert 5-HTP. The two are supplied together for that reason.
Each capsule provides a moderate dose of 5-HTP with P5P and cellulose, in a vegetable capsule suitable for vegans. It is often chosen by people who want a low starting dose.
