Antenatal Formula provides the full range of vitamins and minerals at the levels used in pregnancy, with folate as methylfolate, choline, iron, iodine, vitamin D3 and K2. There is no preformed vitamin A; the vitamin A is beta carotene.

Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, and the other nutrients support energy release, the immune system and bones. It is formulated for use before, during and after pregnancy.

Six capsules a day with food provides the daily amount, split between breakfast and lunch. It is often chosen on practitioner advice by women who want the active forms rather than folic acid.

Take 3 capsules twice per day with food, ideally with breakfast and lunch.

Splitting across two meals improves absorption of the minerals (particularly calcium and iron) and reduces the chance of digestive sensitivity. Taking with food is important for iron tolerance.

This formula is designed to be taken throughout pregnancy and while breastfeeding. If you are also taking a standalone iron or folate supplement, check the combined doses with your healthcare practitioner to avoid exceeding recommended intakes.
