The formula also includes 231.5mg of bentonite clay, which has a long history of use for binding toxins and soothing the intestinal lining, alongside a seven strain probiotic blend (Combocillus) at 10 billion CFU per gram. The probiotic strains include Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, L. plantarum, L. bulgaricus, L. casei, Bifidobacterium breve and B. bifidum, providing broad spectrum support across both the small and large intestine. Directions for use:
Mix one 5g scoop into 500ml of water or juice, once per day away from food.
Take either 1 hour before a meal or 2 hours afterwards. The large volume of water is important as psyllium husk absorbs significant fluid and needs adequate hydration to form a soft, effective bulk in the colon. Taking it with insufficient water can cause discomfort.
For acute or chronic diarrhoea, increase to one 5g scoop twice per day, maintaining the same timing away from food. If taking any medications, separate by at least 2 hours as fibre supplements can reduce drug absorption.

The pairing of prebiotic fibre with live bacteria is a synbiotic design: the fibre does the mechanical work for bowel regularity while inulin feeds beneficial species, including the ones supplied.
