Flaxseed oil is pressed from flax seeds and is one of the richest plant sources of alpha linolenic acid, the plant omega 3. This softgel provides the oil in a gelatin shell.
Alpha linolenic acid is an essential fat the body cannot make. The body converts a small part of it to EPA and DHA, the omega 3 fats found in fish.
Each softgel provides a gram of flaxseed oil. It is often chosen by people who do not eat fish and want omega 3 from a plant, though the softgel shell itself is not vegan.

Alpha linolenic acid (ALA), the plant omega 3, which the body can partly convert to EPA and DHA. Each capsule provides 1000mg of cold-pressed whole flaxseed oil.
Flaxseed oil or fish oil?
Flaxseed suits those who want a plant source. Conversion of ALA to EPA and DHA is limited, so for direct EPA and DHA see the Omega 3 or DHA (algae) products.
How long does a pot last?

What is the difference between EPA and DHA?
