The blend also includes alpha amylase (32 SKB units) for starch digestion and phytase (105 FTU units), which breaks down phytic acid found in grains, nuts, seeds and legumes. Phytic acid binds minerals like iron, zinc and calcium, reducing their absorption. By breaking it down, phytase improves the nutritional value of plant based meals. All three enzymes are derived from Aspergillus fungal sources, which produce enzymes that function well across the pH range of the human digestive tract. The vegetarian capsule shell makes this suitable for most dietary requirements.

Directions for use:

Take 1 capsule at the start of meals containing beans, lentils, grains or cruciferous vegetables.

The enzyme needs to be present in the stomach before the food arrives to work effectively. Swallow the capsule with a small amount of water just before eating.

This product does not need to be taken with every meal, only with those containing foods that typically cause gas or discomfort.
