GAP3 Enzyme Capsules give you the three enzymes for beans, grains and greens: alpha galactosidase, alpha amylase and phytase, all from fungal sources. Each capsule provides 525mg of the blend and you take one at the start of any meal that contains beans, lentils, grains or cruciferous vegetables. One pot holds 120 capsules, which lasts two to four months for most people.

What is in it
Each capsule provides 525mg of an enzyme blend: alpha galactosidase 95 GAL units, alpha amylase 32 SKB units and phytase 105 FTU units, from Aspergillus fungal sources. The other ingredients are maltodextrin and the vegetable capsule shell. Alpha galactosidase supplement and bean enzyme are other names for it.
How to take it
Take one capsule at the start of a meal containing beans, lentils, grains or cruciferous vegetables, swallowed with a little water just before you eat, so the enzyme is in the stomach before the food. It does not need to go with every meal, only the ones with those foods.

The capsules are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. They are free from gluten, dairy and nuts.

Which foods is it for?
Beans, lentils, chickpeas and other pulses, whole grains and seeds, plus cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and sprouts. A meal without those does not need a capsule.
How many capsules should I take?
One at the start of each meal that contains those foods. Most people take one or two a day, so a pot of 120 lasts two to four months.
When is the best time to take GAP3?
Just before the first mouthful, because the enzyme has to be in the stomach when the food arrives. Taken after the meal it arrives too late to help.
Can I take it with other supplements?
Yes. It can be taken at the same meal as Enzymase Digestive Enzyme Capsules when you want the broad blend plus the plant food cover. Combocillus Probiotic Capsules go before breakfast rather than with the meal.
Is it a probiotic?
No. It is a blend of enzymes, not live bacteria, so it needs no fridge and is taken with food.
