Hesperidin is a flavonoid found in citrus fruit, and this extract comes from bitter orange, standardised for its hesperidin content. The capsule pairs it with bromelain, an enzyme from pineapple stem.
Hesperidin is the citrus flavonoid most studied for the veins and capillaries. Bromelain is included because the two are traditionally taken together.

Hesperidin, diosmin or mixed citrus bioflavonoids: what is the difference?
Hesperidin is the main flavonoid of oranges and the one most studied on its own for veins and capillaries. Diosmin is a closely related flavonoid, usually sold in a fixed combination with hesperidin in a 9 to 1 ratio. Mixed citrus bioflavonoids give a blend of several without a set amount of any one. These capsules give 150 mg of hesperidin standardised from bitter orange with bromelain, which suits people who want hesperidin itself at a measured dose.
Why capsules rather than tablets?
Tablets need binders, fillers and a coating to hold their shape. A capsule is a cellulose shell around the powder, so it carries no binders and breaks down quickly once swallowed.
