Why liquid magnesium chloride rather than a magnesium capsule?
Magnesium chloride in water is already dissolved and charged, so nothing has to be broken down first. A liquid measured by the drop lets you take a small dose, or split it across the day, in a way a fixed capsule cannot. It suits people who cannot swallow capsules or who want to build up gradually. The trade is dose size: a capsule such as bisglycinate carries far more magnesium per serving than ten drops.
