Lectin Support

A gut lining protection formula designed to neutralise dietary lectins before they can bind to and irritate the intestinal wall. Lectins are proteins found in many common foods including grains, legumes, nightshade vegetables and dairy that can trigger digestive discomfort, inflammation and increased intestinal permeability in sensitive individuals. Each capsule provides six ingredients that work to intercept and bind lectins in the gut.

N acetyl glucosamine (170mg, vegan source) is the primary lectin binding agent, providing a decoy target that lectins bind to instead of your gut lining cells. Okra powder (90mg) contributes a mucilaginous coating that protects the intestinal surface. Larch arabinogalactan (75mg) acts as a prebiotic fibre that supports beneficial bacteria and modulates immune function. D mannose (75mg) provides another sugar target for lectin binding and supports urinary tract health. Xanthan gum (75mg) adds additional protective mucilage. Bladderwrack (75mg, Fucus vesiculosus) provides 150mcg of natural iodine alongside fucoidans that support gut barrier function.

Take 2 capsules with water before eating. Can be used before multiple meals if required.

The key to effectiveness is timing. The lectin binding agents need to be present in the stomach before the food arrives so they can intercept dietary lectins before contact with the gut wall. Take 10 to 15 minutes before meals with a glass of water.

This product is particularly useful before meals known to be high in lectins, such as those containing beans, lentils, tomatoes, peppers, grains or dairy. It does not need to be taken before every meal if the meal does not contain significant lectin sources. For those with diagnosed lectin sensitivity or autoimmune conditions where lectins are a concern, consistent use before main meals provides the best protection.
