BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) are three essential amino acids, leucine, isoleucine and valine, that the body cannot produce and must obtain from food or supplementation. This formula provides them in a 2:1:1 ratio alongside 200mg of resveratrol extract.

At a 4 capsule serving, this delivers 1200mg of leucine, 600mg of isoleucine and 600mg of valine. Leucine is the primary driver of muscle protein synthesis, which is why it is included at double the dose of the other two. Isoleucine supports glucose uptake into muscles during exercise, and valine helps prevent muscle breakdown.

The inclusion of resveratrol, a polyphenol antioxidant found in grape skins, adds recovery support by reducing exercise induced oxidative stress and inflammation. This combination of BCAAs plus antioxidant protection supports both performance during training and recovery afterward.

BCAAs are most useful for people training in a fasted state, during prolonged endurance exercise, or for those on a lower protein diet who may not be getting sufficient leucine from food. If dietary protein intake is already high (1.6g/kg or more), additional BCAA supplementation provides diminishing returns.

Take 2 to 4 capsules per day, 20 to 30 minutes before exercise.

Dose depends on body weight. If you weigh under 70kg, 2 capsules is usually sufficient. If you weigh 70kg or above, take 4 capsules. If you are on a lower protein diet and weigh under 70kg, you may benefit from the higher 4 capsule dose.

On rest days, BCAAs are not required unless you are in a calorie deficit or following a low protein diet.
