Oregano oil is the essential oil of Origanum heracleoticum, standardised to carvacrol, its main compound. This capsule provides it diluted in extra virgin olive oil.
Oregano oil has a long history of traditional use and is one of the most concentrated plant oils. The olive oil carrier makes it easy to take without the burn of the neat oil.
Each capsule provides 150 mg of oregano essential oil, of which about 128 mg is carvacrol. The softgel shell is bovine gelatin.
Take one capsule once a day with any meal. A pot holds 60 capsules, which is a 60 day supply.
These oregano oil capsules are often chosen by people who use them in short courses rather than every day. They are free from dairy, gluten and nuts, and made in the UK. The gelatin shell means they are not suitable for vegetarians.

Oregano oil softgels or liquid drops, and why does carvacrol content matter?
Carvacrol is the compound that gives oregano oil its strength, so products are compared on how much of it a dose carries; this softgel gives about 128 mg of carvacrol in 150 mg of oil. Liquid drops are the neat oil diluted in olive oil and are taken under the tongue or in water, which many people find too hot; a softgel delivers the same oil past the mouth in a measured dose. Choose drops if you want to adjust the amount finely, and softgels if you want it measured and without the burn.
