This capsule provides turmeric extract standardised to curcuminoids, the active compounds, with piperine from black pepper. Piperine increases how much curcumin the body absorbs.
Turmeric has been used in food and traditional practice for centuries, and curcumin is the compound behind most of the interest in it. On its own it absorbs poorly, which is why piperine is included.
Each capsule provides a high dose of curcuminoids with piperine and nothing else apart from the vegetable shell. It is often chosen by people who want turmeric at a strength food cannot provide.
