★★★★★ "I won't go back to high street supplements. The difference in quality is something you can actually feel." Susie
Adenosylcobalamin is one of the two active forms of vitamin B12, the one used inside the mitochondria where energy is made. It needs no conversion after it is absorbed.
Vitamin B12 is needed for making red blood cells, for the nervous system and for releasing energy from food, and it contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It is found almost only in animal foods, so those on a vegan diet and anyone whose levels have tested low often need a supplement.
Each capsule provides a high dose of adenosylcobalamin with no fillers or binders, in a vegetable capsule suitable for vegans. It is often chosen by people who prefer a capsule to drops.

Adenosylcobalamin is the mitochondrial form of vitamin B12, acting as a cofactor for the enzyme methylmalonyl CoA mutase. Methylcobalamin is the cytoplasmic form involved in methylation. Both are active forms that require no conversion by the body. These capsules contain adenosylcobalamin only.
Each capsule provides 1000mcg of vitamin B12 as adenosylcobalamin (40000% NRV) in a vegetarian capsule shell. The pack contains 90 capsules, a 90-day supply at one per day.
The capsules provide a higher fixed dose of 1000mcg in one step. The liquid provides 76mcg per drop for flexible, gradual dosing and a sublingual option. Many people start with the liquid and move to capsules for convenience once their dose is settled.
Capsules. Each vegetarian capsule provides 1000mcg of vitamin B12 as adenosylcobalamin and nothing else. If you would rather dose drop by drop, see the Vitamin B12 Adenosylcobalamin Liquid.
People who want the mitochondrial form of B12 at a fixed 1000 mcg dose, often alongside methylcobalamin, people whose methylmalonic acid came back raised and want the matching form with their GP's agreement, and vegetarians and vegans. If you would rather build up gradually, the Vitamin B12 Adenosylcobalamin Liquid gives 76 mcg per drop.
Blood levels rise within days of starting. Tiredness usually eases over two to six weeks. Nerve-related symptoms take months and need a GP. If you started because of a low result, retest after eight to twelve weeks.
Tablets need binders, fillers and a coating to hold their shape. A capsule is a cellulose shell around the powder, so it carries no binders and breaks down quickly once swallowed.
