This is vitamin D3, cholecalciferol, dissolved in avocado oil. Vitamin D is fat soluble, so the oil is the carrier it absorbs best from.
Vitamin D supports the immune system, muscle function and the absorption of calcium, and it contributes to normal bones and teeth. Sunlight is the main source, and in the UK it is too weak for much of the year.
The dose is set by the number of drops, so one bottle covers children and adults at their own amounts. It contains two ingredients, avocado oil and cholecalciferol.

Why is vitamin D paired with K2?
Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption of calcium and the maintenance of normal bones, and vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal blood clotting. The pairing covers both of those authorised roles in one capsule.
Why vitamin D3 in oil drops rather than D2 or tablets?
D3, cholecalciferol, is the form the skin makes in sunlight and raises blood levels more reliably than D2, ergocalciferol, the plant-derived form in many prescriptions and fortified foods. Vitamin D is fat soluble, so it absorbs best carried in oil and taken with a meal; a dry tablet relies on the fat in whatever you ate. Drops also let the dose be set to the person, four drops for a standard daily amount and more only on a tested level or practitioner advice. The one thing drops do not offer is K2; for that see the D3 and K2 oil.
Why drops rather than tablets?
Drops let the amount be adjusted one drop at a time, and they suit anyone who cannot swallow tablets. Tablets need binders and a coating to hold their shape; this liquid contains only the active ingredient and its carrier.
