Collagen Formula provides vitamin C, zinc, copper and biotin with the amino acids glycine, proline and lysine, N-acetyl glucosamine and chondroitin. It supplies what the body uses to build collagen rather than collagen itself.
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the function of skin, bones, cartilage and blood vessels, and zinc and biotin contribute to the maintenance of normal skin, hair and nails. The amino acids are the building blocks collagen is made from.
One capsule twice a day with food provides the amount. It is often chosen by people who prefer to give the body the ingredients rather than take collagen, though the chondroitin is marine sourced so it is not suitable for vegetarians.
