Riboflavin 5-phosphate, or R5P, is the active form of vitamin B2. It is the form the body makes from riboflavin before it can be used.
Vitamin B2 is needed for energy release, for the skin, for vision and for the nervous system, and it contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Low intake is common in those who eat little dairy or meat.
This liquid contains R5P in purified water with citric acid. It is often chosen by people who want a small daily dose they can adjust, or who prefer R5P to plain riboflavin.

R5P (riboflavin 5 phosphate) is the active coenzyme form of vitamin B2. Plain riboflavin must first be converted by the body; R5P participates directly in flavocoenzyme reactions without conversion. This product contains R5P only.
A 10-drop serving provides 1.6mg of riboflavin as R5P (114% NRV). The 100ml bottle provides 138 servings. For higher intakes, the capsule form provides 47.5mg per capsule.
The liquid suits those who want a gentle daily maintenance dose, children, anyone who finds capsules difficult to swallow, or anyone building a liquid supplement routine. The only ingredients are purified water, R5P and citric acid.
R5P is riboflavin 5-phosphate, the coenzyme form of vitamin B2 that the body makes from riboflavin. This liquid contains R5P only, 1.6mg per 10-drop serving, not plain riboflavin.
Ten drops a day gives 1.6 mg, just over the 1.4 mg reference intake. UK requirements are 1.3 mg a day for men and 1.1 mg for women, so one serving covers a maintenance level. Riboflavin has no established upper intake level because harm has not been shown at high doses; if you want more than the liquid gives, the capsules provide 47.5 mg.
Yes. Riboflavin turns urine bright yellow within hours of taking it. This is harmless and simply shows the B2 has been absorbed.
Drops let the amount be adjusted one drop at a time, and they suit anyone who cannot swallow tablets. Tablets need binders and a coating to hold their shape; this liquid contains only the active ingredient and its carrier.
