How to boost your results
Histamine naturally develops in food as it matures so anything aged like cheese, fermented vegetables, alcohol and cured meat or fish will contain high amounts which will exacerbate symptoms. Additionally, some foods encourage more histamine to be released by the body so it is also advisable to limit these during allergy season. They are spinach, strawberries, citrus fruits, nightshade vegetables (aubergine, tomatoes, peppers, chilli, and white potatoes), cacao or chocolate products, coffee and mushrooms.
In the same way that the foods mentioned above will add to histamine burden, other foods will naturally decrease symptoms by blocking its actions. Raw red onions, fresh parsley, nettles, broccoli and green tea can be helpful here.
Histamine is produced in muscles as we exert ourselves to help recovery. If you are really suffering it would be advisable to stick to lower intensity activity to prevent this from causing another influx of histamine to the system.

Founder, Nutri Tailor

Per NICE CKS Allergic rhinitis, first-line management is intranasal corticosteroids (fluticasone, mometasone) for moderate-to-severe symptoms and oral second-generation antihistamines (cetirizine, loratadine, fexofenadine) for mild-to-moderate. This plan provides nutritional adjuncts: quercetin (500-1000 mg/day combined across Inflammite and standalone Quercetin) has well-described in vitro mast cell stabilising mechanism (Mlcek 2016 review, doi 10.3390/molecules21050623); human RCT evidence in allergic rhinitis specifically is limited. Bromelain (100-200 mg/day) is used adjunctively in some European countries for nasal congestion. Hesperidin and Inflammite anti-inflammatory micronutrients support the broader inflammatory cascade. Start 4 to 6 weeks before your typical pollen season for build-up time. Saline nasal irrigation has Cochrane-supported adjunct evidence. For severe or persistent symptoms, GP-led pharmaceutical care remains first-line.
Ideally 4-6 weeks before your allergy season begins.
Generally yes. Consult your provider if taking prescription medications.
They support the immune system's balanced response rather than just blocking symptoms.
Vitamin C, quercetin, and DAO enzyme help break down and regulate histamine levels.
Gut health, toxic burden, and immune dysregulation can worsen allergic responses. Address root causes alongside symptom relief.
